\nIndividuals and business owners<\/strong>
\nProof of identity must be provided for all persons who are to sign the documents.
\n
\nYour ID must be:
\n1. A current Passport or current photocard Driving Licence.
\n2. A recent bank statement Council Tax bill or utility statement showing your current address.
\n
\nThe ID you produce must show your name and address shown on the legal documents to be notarised.
\n
\nIf you have changed your name following (e.g.) marriage or divorce then you must produce copies of the e marriage certificate or change of name deed if your name on the legal documents does not conform with your name on your current ID.
\n
\nN.B. If you are a married, divorced or widowed woman and signing a French document then the document will always show your maiden surname \u2013 not current\/married surname. You will need to bring with you a copy of your marriage certificate(s) and\/or change of name deeds to show the legal progression of your surname from your maiden name to your current surname.
\n
\nLimited Companies\/Charities<\/strong>
\nIf you are signing on behalf of a UK limited company or a registered Charity I wil need to see:
\n(a). Your current passport or photocard driving licence.
\n(b). A recent bank statement Council Tax bill or utility statement showing your current address.
\n(c). A copy of the resolution of the Board of Directors authorising the signing of the documents (particularly if it includes a Power of Attorney or a contract).
\n
\nI will also carry out a Companies Registry search to check your appointment as a Director or Company Secretary.
\n
